Burnie Plumbing Supplies is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join their team as a Sheetmetal Apprentice within their Manufacturing Workshop.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade. The successful applicant will learn from experienced tradespeople and develop valuable skills in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing.

About the Opportunity:

As a Sheetmetal Apprentice, the successful candidate will work alongside a skilled team in a busy manufacturing workshop, learning all aspects of sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and production.

This apprenticeship provides practical, on-the-job training combined with formal study, enabling the apprentice to build a rewarding career in the engineering and manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the fabrication of sheet metal products and components
  • Learning to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Operating and maintaining workshop tools and equipment under supervision
  • Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal materials
  • Following workplace health and safety procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  • Working collaboratively with team members to meet production requirements
