Vanders Ute Trays & Metal Works is a busy and growing metal fabrication workshop seeking a reliable and organised Administrative Coordinator to support their day-to-day operations.

This is a hands-on role working closely with management, tradespeople, and customers to ensure jobs and enquiries are managed efficiently. The position is suitable for both experienced administrators and those looking to enter the industry as a trainee.

For the right candidate, this role can be offered as a traineeship, working toward a Certificate III in Business, combining on-the-job experience with formal training.

About the Role:

  • Providing administrative support to management and the workshop team
  • Preparing quotes, invoices, and purchase orders
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Handling emails, phone calls, and in-person enquiries
  • Scheduling appointments and coordinating job timelines
  • Tracking project progress and updating job statuses
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding materials and deliveries
  • Maintaining job files, records, and documentation (electronic and manual)
  • Performing data entry and assisting with accounts

About You:

  • Have previous administration experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a confident phone manner
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have experience with accounting software such as Xero (advantageous)
  • Possess strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Be able to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Show problem-solving ability and initiative
  • Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Be willing to learn (trainee applicants are strongly encouraged to apply)
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Be comfortable working in a workshop environment with a trade-focused team culture
