We are seeking an Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team based in Toowoomba who would like to kick start their career in the commercial construction industry.

Joining the GFG Projects team provides you with the opportunity to develop and apply your carpentry and leadership skills, whilst gaining knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment. Reporting to and working closely with the Site Manager and/or Site Supervisor, you will be hands-on, safety orientated, goal driven and a lateral thinker who has a positive can do approach with the drive and ambition to be a future leader in the commercial construction industry.

To be successful, candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Ability and willingness to travel as required;
• Currently enrolled in Cert III in Carpentry and have completed first year of studies (or most)
• Previous construction experience
• Current drivers licence and own reliable transport
• Good manual dexterity, mathematical and problem-solving skills
• A Construction White Card
• Willingness to work away from home (with accommodation provided) as required
• A sound level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
