We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our high performing Safesearch team in Melbourne or Brisbane.

About the role

Our key recruitment priorities are quality, responsiveness, turnaround time and client retention. Stakeholder management, relationship building, and business development/sales skills are also other crucial factors for your success in this role. Your daily tasks include:

  • Develop new business through consistent sales activity and maintain industry networks and your personal brand
  • Negotiate and close commercial terms and conditions with clients aligned to company policy
  • Deliver to client expectations
  • Accountable for the complete end to end (360) recruitment process including but not limited to; running job briefs (90% are permanent roles) with client, assessing sourcing channels and advertising, resume review, telephone screening, shortlist for interview and assessment, conducting face to face or video behavioural, motivational & skill based interviews, functional and technical skills testing, interview support for hiring managers if required, references and pre employment checks, offer management, support client onboarding activities, performance management and retention tasks.

Your background

This is a recruitment role with a heavy focus on sales and candidate management, to be successful you will need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a 360-recruitment agency role (New business development and candidate management)
  • Previous HSE recruitment experience is highly desirable if not, experience recruiting Engineering (white collar); Financial Senior roles (not transactional) or similar. "High touch" with the client
  • Sales and client relationship management experience (80% of your role will be business development tasks) and previous experience selling retained assignments and pitching exclusivity
  • Ability to introduce and manage innovative staffing solutions
  • Ability to meet KPIs set by your manager around connected phone calls with clients/candidates, interviews, client meetings, new job orders etc and have had financial targets to reach
  • Persuasion & influencing skills
  • Relationship building skills
  • Polished, well presented, articulate, professional with strong communications skills (your Hiring Managers will be CEOs, Head of Safety etc)
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • You will be ambitious, honest, resilient and a go getter not afraid to pick up the phone and speak with candidates and clients, enjoy sales activities and chasing down that next placement and job to fill
  • Be able to take on feedback, be open to new ideas and working with tools that make you a better recruiter (Hinterview); resilient; and able to network and bounce back from knocks.
