About the Role

Reporting to the Program Director of Defence & Aerospace, we are currently seeking an experienced, Talent Acquisition Team Leader (based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane) to join this high performing team and help run the operational management of the program. 

As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and accelerating your team’s growth. You will be accountable for the revenue and profitability of the team whilst continuing to work with key clients and drive new business development to provide high quality service. The role will also be accountable for team management, performance and development.

Your daily tasks include:

Team/People Management

  • Accountable for the team’s delivery, strategy and motivation
  • Accountable for performance objectives, set team KPIs, weekly reviews, succession planning and recruitment
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members
  • Report on Perm Revenue, Pipelines and Forecasting in line with budget expectations

Sales Management

  • Develop & execute sales strategy and business planning
  • Develop specialist defence industry knowledge & expertise
  • Develop existing business and maintain key client relationships through a variety of business development techniques

 Client Management

  • Managing the expectations of clients and provide an escalation level to key clients
  • Accountable for the complete recruitment process with clients
  • Pricing, Award review, raising invoices
  • Ensure each recruitment assignment is delivered to budget and to client expectation

Recruitment

  • Being a hands-on leader assisting your team with sourcing for land, aerospace and maritime technical niche roles

We're looking for

Previous local experience in defence recruitment is essential

You must be an Australian Citizen

  • Have held or have the ability to obtain a baseline security clearance
  • Ability to introduce and manage innovative staffing solutions and efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume recruitment team
  • Persuasion & influencing skills
  • Strong business development and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Possess that drive and hunger to lead and chase new defence business
