About the Role
MacKillop Family Services is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead staff in the delivery of day to day operations across MacKillop's Eastern Residential Care programs. This includes Therapeutic Residential Care, Lead Tenant, the Keep Embracing Your Success program (KEYS), and case management support for children and young people with high and complex needs.
As a member of the MacKillop Management Leadership Team (MLT), the Area Manager reports directly to the General Manager of our Southern and Eastern Divisions. Our Eastern program operates across the Eastern Region of Victoria, with the primary work location based in our Forest Hill office and will be required to travel throughout the Eastern Metropolitan area.
This is a full-time fixed term (parental leave cover until 1 November 2027) opportunity based in Forest Hill, VIC within our Eastern Division Out of Home Care (OoHC) program.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and substantial evidence of senior level experience in Social Work, Public Policy, Child Protection, Out of Home Care (OoHC) or related discipline of overarching quality and policy frameworks underpinning Out of Home Care (OoHC) in Victoria.
- Demonstrated experience as a member of a senior leadership team with the ability to work cross functionally at senior levels, deliver outcomes, proven networking engagement, relationship building skills and the ability to represent the organisation in various forms.
- Strong and demonstrated skills in assessing risks needs and the safety for children and young people residing in Residential Care homes, Home Based Care, as well as leaving care.
- Evidence of high level organisational and management skills, to develop an improved program to meet and/or exceed targets and deliver effective and successful outcomes.
