An opportunity is available, for a Residential House Supervisor to lead a team supporting women and children escaping family violence, creating a safe, welcoming and trauma-informed refuge where recovery and healing can begin.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the refuge, ensuring a safe, secure and well-maintained environment. You'll coordinate referrals and intake, manage occupancy, maintain accurate records, and lead responses to risk, crisis situations and complex client needs.
- Lead trauma-informed, culturally safe and child-focused responses, supporting staff to manage risk and deliver best-practice family violence support.
- Lead a team delivering high-quality support that empowers residents to rebuild their lives, strengthen independence and achieve their recovery goals, while ensuring service delivery aligns with best-practice standards.
- Coach and supervise staff, manage rosters and reporting, and drive service excellence to achieve strong outcomes for residents.

We are currently recruiting 1 x Full-time ongoing role, based in Sunshine.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Knowledge of family violence, homelessness and/or mental health.
- Relevant qualification and/or experience in social work, community services or a related field, meeting family violence practitioner requirements.
- Knowledge of family violence and homelessness, including MARAM, the Family Violence Protection Act and Child Safe Standards.
- Proven leadership experience, including staff supervision and development.
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience leading program improvements and change initiatives.
- Knowledge of the community services sector and key stakeholders, including DFFH and Mental Health services.
