About the role
Join a passionate and driven team as a Carer Recruitment and Development Worker, playing a key role in shaping the future of care within the Victorian Carer Recruitment and Development Team. This exciting position is part of the Victorian Carer Recruitment and Development team, responsible for attracting, assessing, and supporting new carers, while also empowering and retaining our existing carer community through training and development.
Based in the North Division (Bendigo), you’ll enjoy a varied role with regular travel across Loddon and surrounding areas, connecting with communities and making a real impact and will be required to travel across the wider North Division including Preston and other program areas. You will report to the Carer Recruitment and Development Coordinator, and you’ll be at the forefront of a mission that truly changes lives.
Key Selection Criteria
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work, Children’s Services, Welfare Services or equivalent.
- Sound professional knowledge and theory base particularly in the areas of trauma, attachment and therapeutic care and assessment and training.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines and meeting KPI’s while working under pressure (exceptional organisational and administration skills.
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.

You must have a:
- Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
