Supporting a range of desktop environments connecting to a variety of Microsoft products and applications, the role is required to problem solve and deliver satisfactory outcomes in a customer friendly manner. In addition to the above, this position plays a crucial role in protecting an organization's information assets, managing risks, validation and ensuring compliance with applicable systems.
About the role:
The IT Support Specialist will:
- Provide Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to end-users on hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Manage Incidents: Monitor and respond to IT incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support activities, including incident reports and resolutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor IT systems to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Emergency Response: Be available for emergency IT issues and provide support as needed.
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne within our Information Technology Team. The position reports to the [INSERT REPORTING LINE].
Key Selection Criteria:
The incumbent will have:
- A minimum of two years of IT experience
- A bachelor's degree in information systems and/or equivalent work experience or IT professional certification
- Available to work non business hours, some weekends maybe required.
- Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Platforms, especially Active Directory, Defender, Endpoint, Exchange Online, Purview, SharePoint Online and Team.
- Proficiency with LAN, WAN, and Wireless networking.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and caring attitude
- Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families
