MacKillop Education is a Catholic Specialist P-12 School that comprises of three school campuses; Geelong, Maidstone and Caulfield. It caters for children and young people who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from mainstream education. The students referred to MacKilllop have a history and/or ongoing experience of trauma and their needs are complex and diverse; self-regulation is difficult for our students and this can result in challenging social and emotional behaviours.

Empower Students: Design and deliver tailored educational programs that respond to individual student needs through rigorous, ongoing assessment.
Teach with Impact: Implement high-quality, evidence-informed instruction aligned to the MacKillop Education Instructional Model.
Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to co-create engaging curriculum that enhances student learning outcomes across all subject areas.
Champion Individual Growth: Develop and deliver Individual Education and Safety Plans, setting high expectations and providing a roadmap for student success.
Foster Holistic Wellbeing: Support systems and processes that address learning, behaviour, wellbeing, and re-engagement using trauma-informed and restorative practices.
Engage Families & Teams: Maintain open, proactive communication with carers, families, and support teams, celebrating progress and addressing needs.
Support Transitions: Create thoughtful, student-centered transition and safety plans that build confidence and continuity in learning.
Grow Professionally: Engage in regular professional learning, reflection, and supervision to ensure continuous growth and excellence in practice.
Be a Role Model: Uphold and model unconditional positive regard and a commitment to child safety in every interaction.

We have 1x Permanent Full-time opportunity available based in Caulfield, VIC within our MacKillop Education Program.
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Preferred experience and knowledge of the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC).
- A four-year teaching qualification or equivalent and eligibility for Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- Demonstrated understanding of and experience in implementing highly aspirational initiatives in student learning, informed by the Victorian Curriculum.
- Experience in the design, delivery and assessment of programs that cater for the diverse and complex needs of individual learners, and engage students who have a range of learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
