At MacKillop Rural, we believe in the power of culture, education, and community. As a Birralii Nurturer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting Aboriginal families with children aged 0-5, ensuring they have the tools, guidance, and support to thrive. Your work will lay the foundation for a brighter future for the next generation. This is a full time position (38 hours a week). Location Brewarrina or Lightning Ridge.

About you !

We know there are a lot of creative mob out there that have deadly ideas to support our kids and families to play, learn and grow. These fun and engaging experiences, be it big or small, help our children grow strong and proud in who they are. If you feel you are this person always coming up with ideas to support our kids and mob in early childhood experiences, then we want you!

 What you will do!

  • Support Families: Help families connect with essential services, guiding them to enroll and maintain attendance in Preschool or Early Childhood Education programs for 600 hours per year.
  • Cultural Connections: Foster a strong sense of cultural identity by creating positive learning experiences that celebrate and honor Aboriginal traditions.
  • Collaborate & Empower: Partner with local early childhood education providers, health professionals, and community services to create a nurturing environment for children and families.
  • Make a Difference: Be a trusted guide, offering support to young people at risk of homelessness, and delivering early childhood intervention for those with disabilities.
