About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Partnering closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of the project, coordinating multiple workstreams, managing timelines, and ensuring successful outcomes across the organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role is responsible for the planning, governance, coordination, and execution of the HRIS implementation. The successful candidate will drive project delivery, ensuring activities remain aligned with agreed objectives, milestones, and deliverables, while fostering strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration across the business. Through effective project leadership, you will support the successful adoption of the new system and contribute to improved people processes and organisational efficiency.
This is an 18 Month Maximum Term (Part time 0.6 EFT with flexibility to scale to Full Time) opportunity based in South Melbourne within the Support Services unit. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources.

Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in HRIS implementation and project delivery.
- Strong project planning, coordination, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective project governance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and organisational levels.
- Proven experience monitoring project performance, tracking deliverables, and ensuring accountability for outcomes and agreed actions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify risks, assess impacts, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Highly developed reporting and documentation skills, with the ability to prepare high quality project plans, status reports, governance papers, and progress updates.
- Exceptional time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records in a fast paced environment.
- Relevant project management qualifications will be highly regarded.
