About the role:

The Administration Officer will initially be stationed at South Melbourne and subsequently transition to the Dandenong office. This position reports directly to the Area Manager of Southern Services.

The Administration Officer will support the functioning of the Dandenong including liaison with support staff from MacKillop’s central office and staff from a wide range of government and non-government agencies.

The Administration Officer will have oversight of the local integration and alignment of all ‘back office’ functions including contracting and standards development, policy development, community relations, finance and business services and human resource management in partnership with Melbourne based executive members and their teams.

The Administration Officer will be responsible for supporting the staff and programs across Southern Services and for compliance requirements in the Dandenong office, while also providing support to the North and East regions.


This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity based in South Melbourne, VIC (Moving to Dandenong, VIC), within our Administration and Office Support unit. The position reports to the Area Manager, Southern Services.

 

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated administrative experience and organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst working to tight deadlines.
  • Sound financial administration skills and the capacity to integrate these with generalist administrative/project management work.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate constructively with other staff in a collaborative team context, and to also use initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to provide assistance to both internal and external persons.
