Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer is a member of the Finance and Business Services Unit. Reporting to the Financial Accountant the Finance Officer plays a key role within the team in assisting the Financial Accountant to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of all functions which are the responsibility of the Accounts Team.

The unit manages the financial, legal, risk and corporate compliance, project management office, procurement and sustainability, insurance, property, vehicle fleet and information & communications technology services for the organisation.

We have two (2) ongoing Full-time (38 Hours per week) opportunities and one (1) contract for 10 months (38 Hours per week) based within our Finance & Business Services unit. These positions reports to the Financial Accountant.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Knowledge and experience in accounts payables, including general ledger and chart of accounts.
  • Experience in the use of a computerized accounting system – Business Central currently used.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Excel (minimum requirement intermediate level), outlook and experience in report writing.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately process a high volume of data.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to provide sound advice and assistance to both internal and external persons.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
