About the role

The Senior Case Manager position will oversee case management and case work service for the Early Intervention Family Support Service (EIFS) and the Family Carer Support Service (FCSS). This position will add value to the program in the form of additional leadership by mentoring, supporting and providing supervision to case managers. Additionally, it will involve undertaking complex case management processes. 


This is an Ongoing Full Time opportunity based in Karratha WA within our Intensive Family Support Services/Family Care Support Services Program. The position reports to the Coordinator Pilbara Family Support Services.


Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families .
  • An appropriate qualification in Human Services, or a related discipline, with substantial experience is preferred. A combination of equivalent level of study and experience, including Aboriginal people with lived and professional experience will be considered.
  • Extensive experience and demonstrated skills in working with vulnerable children, young people, and families in a trauma-informed way. An understanding of the child protection system including the out of home care service system.
  • A minimum of 3 years of case management experience, including the management of complex cases.
  • Ability to provide quality mentoring, support and supervision to case managers, family support workers and other staff.  
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other locations as needed.
