About the role

The Senior Case Manager position will oversee case management and case work service for the Early Intervention Family Support Service (EIFS) and the Family Carer Support Service (FCSS). This position will add value to the program in the form of additional leadership by mentoring, supporting and providing supervision to case managers. Additionally, it will involve undertaking complex case management processes.

The Senior Case Manager is a member of the Western Australia and Northern Territory team, located in the Pilbara office and reports to the Coordinator Pilbara Family Support Services.

The EIFS provides an intensive in-home support case management model which works alongside vulnerable families. This includes:

  • Families whose children are at risk of entering the care system;
  • Families working towards reunification;
  • Families who have met their safety goals and need further targeted ongoing support; and
  • Supporting families and individuals in need of services to access the new Pilbara Early Diversionary Network.

The FCSS provides specialist and targeted case management to registered family foster carers. 


On offer is 2 positions that are Ongoing Full-time opportunity based in South Headland and Karratha within our Intensive Family Support Services/ Family Care Support Services program. The position reports to the Coordinator Pilbara Family Support Services.


Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Lead with a child-focused, family-centered approach; recognising the impact of trauma that children and their extended families are likely to have experienced and applying a trauma-safe approach.
  • Be respectful and inclusive of Aboriginal Culture through informing engagement strategies, assessment, planning, and undertaking necessary consultation.
  • Be responsible for compiling all relevant information to complete the initial assessment to generate the family case plan with the family, the Case Manager and the Family Support Worker.
  • Provide strategic engagement and flexible outreach to families to assist in the development and implementation of family case plans. This includes leading the review process of family case plans and providing ongoing support to achieve goals.
