As a Team Leader at McAuley, you'll inspire and support a multidisciplinary team delivering life-changing services to women and children experiencing homelessness, trauma and other complex challenges.

We are recruiting a full-time leadership position based in Footscray with ability to travel across McAuley sites.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a leader, you'll guide complex practice, champion safety and recovery, and foster trauma-informed, culturally safe support that helps women and children thrive.

  • Practice Leadership - Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support.
  • Complex Client Support - Provide specialist guidance for complex needs, risk management, safety planning and recovery-focused outcomes.
  • Team Development - Build capability, confidence and wellbeing through coaching, supervision and reflective practice.
  • Quality Improvement - Drive service excellence through outcome monitoring, client feedback and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partnerships & Collaboration - Strengthen partnerships and coordinated responses across housing, mental health and community services.
  • Strategic Contribution - Contribute to service innovation, program development and sector leadership to enhance client outcomes.

This is a Permanent Full-Time (38 hrs per week) opportunity within our Community Services program. The position reports to the Area Manager of Homelessness and Family Violence.

 

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant qualification in Community Services or a related field.
  • Experience leading, coaching or supervising teams within family violence, homelessness, mental health or community services.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, safety planning and coordinated support planning.
  • Understanding of MARAM, family violence legislation and Victorian service systems.
  • Understanding of Aboriginal cultures, values and the challenges experienced by Aboriginal children and families.
  • Willingness to travel across McAuley service locations, including Western Melbourne and Ballarat.

 You must have a:

  • Right to work in Australia;
  • Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Worker Check;
