People & Culture Coordinator

This is a permanent fulltime role.
The People & Culture Coordinator role at MACG is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and high performing team, reporting directly to the General Manager of People & Culture. You’ll work alongside coordinators, business partner, and wellbeing and engagement managers in a fast paced environment with a steady flow of work and plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and support one another!
In this hands on role, you’ll manage a portfolio of homes, partnering with Home Managers to deliver end to end recruitment, compliance, contracts, and onboarding. You’ll also get involved in impactful projects focused on enhancing staff wellbeing, engagement, and developing new initiatives across the business, all while gaining valuable, on site HR experience and making a real difference to frontline teams.

Daily Tasks:
- Coordinate end to end recruitment – advertising, shortlisting, interviews, contracts, onboarding, orientation plans / packs.
- Track compliance (police checks, vaccinations, VEVO, qualifications, working rights)
- Provide HR administration support, including drafting contracts, variation letters, and managing compliance registers
- Support employee experience initiatives such as service anniversaries, recognition programs, and engagement events
- Build strong working relationships with managers, payroll, and administration teams across MACG homes
- Maintain HRIS (Humanforce) records, generate recruitment and compliance reports, and contribute to continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR recruitment and/or coordination
- Experience in aged care or healthcare (essential)
- Current Drivers License (essential)
- A genuine passion for people and team wellbeing
- Knowledge of end to end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Highly organised, detail focused, and able to manage competing priorities
- Approachable communication style with excellent interpersonal skills
- Collaborative and proactive mindset with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Experience with HRIS/recruitment systems such as Humanforce (desirable)
- Understanding of employment law and HR best practices
- Commitment to confidentiality, fairness and integrity
