Management Accountant – Join a Collaborative & Growing Finance Team

An excellent opportunity has opened to join our dynamic Finance team as a Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team that values collaboration, professional growth and making the workplace fun.

This role is perfect for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys business partnering, analysis, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Experience within the aged care or healthcare sector will be highly regarded.

About the Role

As our Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering financial accuracy, insight and guidance that helps to shape MACG's success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct the month-end process including bank reconciliations, journal entries and preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough oversight of financial and transactional accounting including AR and AP.
  • Support timely and accurate financial reconciliations including month-end and review of all balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of Budgets and Forecasts, including the ongoing monitoring in achieving Budget.
  • Business Partner with stakeholders to provide service delivery and operational support.
  • Prepare financial statements including Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss statement to management, stakeholders and provide analysis.
  • Support the completion of month-end, quarterly and annual financial and reporting requirements.
  • Work with the business to ensure adherence to Operational Finance policies, procedures, and frameworks for all statutory obligations e.g. Payroll Tax, BAS etc.
  • Ensure the accuracy of information contained in financial reports, which should also be in adherence to company procedures and accounting policies.
  • Assist external auditing process on an annual basis.

About You

You are a detail-oriented and solution focused accounting professional who thrives on translating numbers into actionable insights. You’ll bring:

  • Degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Business.
  • CPA or CA qualification (essential).
  • Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A professional approach with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience in the aged care or healthcare sector will be highly regarded.
