We are now offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and caring Personal Care Worker to join our team at Boronia Aged Care on a fixed term basis commencing 10 August 2025.

About the Role:

As a Personal Care Worker at Boronia Aged Care, you will play a hands on and meaningful role in supporting our residents with their daily living needs, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

You will work as part of a close knit, supportive care team under the direction of our Registered and Enrolled Nurses, delivering person-centred care that makes a genuine difference to residents and their families every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, grooming and dressing
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers and daily living activities
  • Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans and the direction of nursing staff
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and their families
  • Observe and report changes in residents' health and wellbeing to nursing staff
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving and feeding where required
  • Maintain accurate care documentation in line with organisational requirements
  • Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Contribute to a safe, welcoming and homelike environment for residents

About You:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent (Required)
  • Previous experience working in aged care (highly regarded)
  • Genuine compassion and empathy for older people
  • Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and direction from nursing staff
  • Flexible availability including morning, afternoon and weekend shifts (highly desirable)
  • Australian working rights (Required)
  • Current Police Check (Required)

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with manual handling and mobility aids
  • Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Flu vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations/boosters (highly desirable)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
