About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Food Services Assistant to join our team!

This role is perfect for someone who is confident, proactive, and takes pride in getting the job done to a high standard. You will play a key role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring residents receive quality meals in a safe and welcoming environment.

Availability Requirements:

This is a casual position, however applicants must:

  • Be available to work at least 3 days per week
  • Be flexible across morning, afternoon, and night shifts
  • Be willing to work occasional weekend shifts (very rare, but required when needed)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with meal preparation and food plating
  • Serve meals and beverages to residents
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen and dining environment
  • Follow food safety and infection control procedures
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and care staff

About You:

  • Confident, reliable, and able to work efficiently
  • Strong work ethic with a “get it done” attitude
  • Team player with a positive approach
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Food Safety Certificate (Required)
  • Experience in hospitality or aged care (1+ year preferred)
  • Certificate II/III in Hospitality or similar (desirable)
  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety practices

Requirements:

  • Current Police Check (Required)
  • Australian working rights
  • Influenza vaccination (Required)
  • COVID-19 vaccination (Desirable)
