We are now offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Casual Registered Nurse to join our team at Boronia Aged Care.
About the Role:
As a Casual Registered Nurse at Boronia Aged Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high quality clinical care to our residents in the heart of Boronia.
This casual role offers great flexibility perfect for someone looking to fit work around other commitments while still doing meaningful, rewarding clinical work. You will work as part of a collaborative and supportive nursing team, leading Personal Care Workers on the floor, administering medications, completing clinical assessments and documentation, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all residents in your care.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about aged care, values flexibility, and wants to work in an environment where residents truly feel at home.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality, person centred clinical care to residents
- Administer medications and monitor resident health and wellbeing
- Conduct resident assessments, care planning and clinical documentation
- Supervise and mentor Personal Care Workers on the floor
- Respond to clinical care needs and emergency situations promptly
- Liaise with residents, families, medical practitioners and the broader care team
- Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming and homelike environment for residents
About You:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Required)
- Previous experience working in aged care (highly regarded)
- Strong clinical assessment and problem solving skills
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lead and mentor Personal Care Workers
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays (highly desirable)
- Australian working rights (Required)
- Current Police Check (Required)
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience with AN-ACC funding and clinical documentation
- Understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements
- Experience with medication management and clinical governance
- Flu vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations/boosters (highly desirable)
