About the Role
As an Enrolled Nurse at Grand Cedar, you will provide high-quality clinical care while working collaboratively with residents, families, Registered Nurses and the wider care team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing safe, high-quality and person-centred nursing care to residents
- Supporting Registered Nurses in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care
- Administering medications safely and accurately within your scope of practice and in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and clinical guidelines
- Completing clinical observations and monitoring residents' health and wellbeing
- Recognising changes in a resident's condition and promptly escalating concerns to the Registered Nurse
- Assisting with clinical procedures, including wound care, pressure injury management and blood glucose monitoring, within your scope of practice
- Supporting residents with their activities of daily living and promoting their dignity, independence and choice
- Providing guidance and support to Personal Care Workers as required
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, Registered Nurses, GPs, allied health professionals and other members of the care team
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, progress notes and resident records
- Following infection prevention and control procedures, clinical policies, workplace health and safety requirements and relevant professional standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- Previous residential aged care experience is highly desirable
- Strong clinical observation and documentation skills
- Sound knowledge of medication management and safe clinical practice within your scope of practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, respectful and person-centred approach to resident care
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A strong commitment to resident safety, quality care and clinical governance
- Flexibility and availability to work casual shifts as required.
