We are now offering an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and proactive Roving Maintenance Officer to join our growing team.

About the Role:

This is not your average maintenance role.

As our Roving Maintenance Officer, you will travel across 11 aged care homes providing maintenance support, painting works, room refurbishments and presentation improvement projects that directly enhance resident comfort and quality of life.

A large focus of this role will involve painting and refurbishment works, helping to maintain bright, welcoming and homelike spaces for residents, families, visitors and staff.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work and wants to use their skills to positively impact the community every day.

You will work closely with Home Managers and internal teams to proactively identify issues, complete maintenance tasks to a high standard and ensure our homes remain safe, compliant and beautifully presented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out general maintenance tasks, repairs and painting works across multiple homes
  • Complete room refurbishments and presentation improvement projects
  • Maintain resident areas, common spaces and back-of-house facilities
  • Identify maintenance issues proactively and respond promptly
  • Coordinate contractors and ensure works are completed safely and to a high standard
  • Support minor gardening and grounds maintenance where required
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and job tracking through computer systems
  • Ensure all work complies with OH&S requirements and aged care standards
  • Contribute to creating safe, welcoming and homelike environments for residents

About You:

  • Proven experience in maintenance, repairs and painting
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Positive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and presentation
  • Ability to travel between multiple aged care homes
  • Current driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle (Required)
  • Basic computer skills for job tracking and documentation
  • Australian working rights

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification or maintenance-related certificate
  • Understanding of aged care standards and compliance requirements
  • Current Police Check (Required)
