ABOUT THE ROLE

Cheltenham Manor aged care home is part of Medical & Aged Care Group (MACG), a family-owned organisation committed to delivering high-quality care through strong relationships, consistent standards, and genuine respect for residents and their families.

We are looking for a reliable, people-focused Receptionist to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff — and the way you show up matters. We want someone who takes that responsibility seriously and brings a natural warmth to it.

The role spans a weekday and both weekend days, which suits someone looking for a consistent part-time schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Greet and sign in residents, families, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming experience from the moment they arrive
  • Answer and direct incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Support resident admissions, discharges, and orientations
  • Coordinate bookings including hairdressing and the Private Dining Room
  • Handle incoming mail, deliveries, and general correspondence
  • Provide administrative support — data entry, invoicing, archiving, preparing tour packs, and assisting the Home Manager as required
  • Liaise with Kitchen, Laundry, and Care teams on day-to-day administrative requests
  • Carry out small tasks that make a real difference to residents, such as weekly flower distribution

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 1–2 years' experience in reception or administration
  • A warm, professional manner with people from all walks of life
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to work independently, particularly across weekend shifts
  • Experience in aged care is welcome but not required
