We are looking for a Laundry Assistant to join us in Boronia on a permanent part-time basis, with shifts available on Friday's and Saturday's.

About the Role:

Laundry Assistants are responsible for providing a high standard laundry service in the residential aged care setting and work in a great broader team environment. 

About you:

You are a highly organised energetic and self-motivated individual - someone who can manage their time and be flexible with their workloads. You'll have a high level of teamwork with colleagues and empathy and compassion too.

To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following: 

Essential skills and competencies:

  • Laundry Assistant qualifications Certificate III or IV (desirable) and significant experience in a similar position (essential)
  • Teamwork with colleagues
  • Effective communication skills
  • Friendly and positive personality
  • Working in an aged care setting
  • A passion for working in aged care
  • Computer skills
  • Understanding of Hygiene and Safety practices in aged care
  • Current police check (Required)
  • Working Rights (visa/vevo +/or passport) (Required)
  • Seasonal Influenza Vaccination (Highly Desirable)
  • Covid vaccination (Highly Desirable)

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • An understanding of the Aged Care Standards, accreditation, continuous improvement requirements.
