About the Role

As a Registered Nurse at Grand Cedar, you will provide clinical leadership and high-quality nursing care while working collaboratively with residents, families and the wider care team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing safe, high-quality and person-centred nursing care
  • Completing comprehensive clinical assessments and developing and reviewing individualised care plans
  • Administering medications safely and accurately in accordance with legislation, policies and clinical guidelines
  • Completing clinical procedures including wound care, pressure injury management and blood glucose monitoring
  • Monitoring residents and recognising and responding appropriately to changes in their health and wellbeing
  • Responding to clinical incidents and emergency situations
  • Providing clinical leadership, guidance and support to Personal Care Workers
  • Communicating and liaising effectively with GPs, allied health professionals, residents, families and other healthcare providers
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and resident records
  • Ensuring compliance with AHPRA standards, relevant legislation, clinical policies and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous residential aged care experience is highly desirable
  • Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong clinical documentation and organisational skills
  • A compassionate, respectful and person-centred approach
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A strong commitment to resident safety, quality care and clinical governance
  • Flexibility and availability to work casual shifts as required
