Mechanical Fitter | Commissioning (Material Handling System and Hydraulics)

M2P Engineering

Prominent Hill Mine, South Australia

Get stuck into a major mining project with M2P Engineering at Prominent Hill Copper Mine. We’re delivering the PHOX project, including underground crushing, shaft infrastructure and materials handling systems.

We’re chasing trade-qualified Mechanical Fitters with strong commissioning experience, especially across material handling systems and hydraulics in mining environments.

As one of our valued team, you will be vital to the completion and success of one of our major mining construction projects in South Australia.

Working a 2:1 FIFO roster with flights from most major cities, you’ll also be surrounded by a down-to-earth team of reliable, friendly, hard-working people - it’s not all hugs and roses, but we take your physical and mental health seriously.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Commissioning crushers, conveyors & bulk material handling systems
• Working on hydraulic systems (HPUs, braking systems, piping, valves)
• Fault finding, testing and start-up support
• Supporting underground installation and commissioning works

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification
• Proven commissioning experience (essential)
• Strong background in Material Handling Systems (MHS)
• Hydraulics experience (HPUs, braking systems, fault finding)
• Previous underground mining experience
• Ability to read drawings, schematics & follow commissioning procedures

Site Requirements

• Must be clean shaven
• Ability to pass full medical, D&A, police clearance
• Full Australian working rights.
