Servicing nationwide projects, we have branch facilities located in NSW, WA & QLD; with our head office based in Teneriffe, Brisbane.

Due to a growing portfolio of work, M2P Engineering is seeking experienced Project Controls Engineers to assist with front-end works & onsite project delivery. This is a great opportunity to join an agile, forward-thinking, and respected company that specialises in the minerals & mining sectors.

M2P Engineering offers a competitive salary with attractive site allowances. Please note this is a FIFO role.

About the Role

The Project Controls Engineer will undertake and assist with duties such as:

  • Translating project estimates to control budgets
  • Project forecasting
  • Tracking the install of commodities to inform earned value
  • Monitoring of actuals to ensure correct cost allocations
  • Writing database queries to develop custom reports from the financial system
  • Integrating with planners/schedulers to ensure schedule/cost alignment
  • Integrating with contracts administrators to manage change and inform contract variations
  • Collecting and analysing productivity data to inform new tenders
  • Ad hoc data analysis.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience writing database queries
  • An understanding of earned value management
  • Superior communication skills
  • Proven site-based experience in the delivery phase of a project
  • Contractor side project controls experience (preferred but not essential)
