Lycopodium Minerals are currently recruiting for Lead/Senior Project Engineers to join our growing team in Perth!

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Lead/Senior Project Engineer will provide technical assistance in the planning, designing, evaluating, executing and handover of the assigned projects in accordance with Company, Client and Project requirements.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Assisting with ensuring compliance with the project specific requirements and current industry work codes and standards.
  • Contributing to project control activities including scheduling, forecasting and other deliverables to a consistently high standard.
  • Assisting with and perform procurement, inspection and expediting activities.
  • Carrying out assigned project activities, including site engineer duties, in a manner that priorities safety, environment, community and industrial relations.
  • Assisting the Project Manager in developing and maintaining the project quality management facility to ensure project quality targets and reporting are met.
  • Contributing to the preparation of construction reports, contracts and schedules, managing tender and contract documentation for review in accordance with quality assurance.

The expertise you'll bring

  • Bachelor of Engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
  • Min 7 years’ postgraduate experience in a similar position, ideally within an EPCM environment.
  • Experience working on Mineral Processing Plants or similar capital projects will be highly regarded.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including Clients, Vendors and Co-workers.
  • Proactively seek and accept guidance and feedback provided by subject matter experts.
  • Determination and drive to achieve objectives through continued professional development.
