The Process Engineer provides high quality deliverables to the process group whilst exceeding client expectations and maintaining a high degree of professional integrity and work ethics.

Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with process design including, development of mass and energy balances, flowsheets, P&IDs, design criteria, control philosophy and operating costs.
  • Supervise the process components of scoping and pre-feasibility studies.
  • Assist with metallurgical testwork programmes.
  • Assist with commissioning activities.
  • Interpret metallurgical testwork.
  • Preparation of process components of study documents.

What you will bring:

  • Tertiary level qualification in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or equivalent
  • At least 8 relevant experience in Process Design in an EPCM environment, preferably in a minerals processing and project delivery environment.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables, within budget and schedule constraints.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft suite of software packages, including Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
  • Demonstrate ability to and/or proficiency in the use of specific proprietary software packages relevant to the Process Engineering discipline.
  • Technical background with a broad multi-disciplinary base, preferably in minerals processing plants / infrastructure construction.
  • Ability to achieve budget manhours and milestone deliverable dates.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a team and knowledge sharing environment.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and a practical approach to solving engineering problems.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment.
  • Demonstrate a strict practice of confidentiality, personal responsibility and discretion.
