Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service and consistently delivering high-quality dishes that uphold Lua’s à la carte standards.
  • Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards while fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to produce precise, efficient and creative dishes in high-pressure service conditions.
  • Mentor and support junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Embody and promote Lua’s culture, service philosophy, and commitment to culinary excellence.

Your Attributes:

  • Highly organised with the ability to plan, prep and work in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Got seafood experience under your belt? That’s a win for us.
  • Calm and composed under pressure, particularly during large-scale or time-sensitive service.
  • Experience working to tight timelines while maintaining consistency, quality and presentation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
