Section Waiter

Lua by Luke Nguyen has opened its doors at The Sydney Fish Markets - a stunning 290-seat restaurant offering elevated lunch and dinner experiences. As a Section Waiter, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service while helping build something truly extraordinary from the ground up.

Your responsibilities:

•  Deliver exceptional end-to-end guest dining experiences through attentive and professional service
• Manage your section efficiently to ensure smooth and timely food and beverage service
• Demonstrate strong product knowledge to confidently present menu items, specials and wine recommendations
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to maintain high service standards
• Support daily restaurant operations including table service, order accuracy and guest satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and presentation across your section and service areas
• Uphold the restaurant’s culture, service philosophy and commitment to excellence

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an a la carte restaurant
• Ability to work within a diverse and motivated team
• A genuine love of hospitality, dining trends, service delivery and team development
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer literacy – MS Office, restaurant POS/CRM systems
• A results-driven mindset with a “hands-on”, can-do attitude
