About the role:

We have an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding health professional to join us in the role of Health Consultant. In this supported autonomous role, you will be delivering first aid training and health screening services across the region. You will be working a guaranteed minimum of 80 hours per fortnight, with possibly up to two Saturdays a month. Early starts and finishes are part of this role from time to time as is overnight travel.

Key responsibilities:

  • The delivery of health education one to one, and in a group setting
  • The delivery of occupational health screening services and vaccinations, at worksites and Life Care venues

The successful candidate will have:

  • A current health related degree e.g. health science, para-medicine etc
  • Fluent in both written and verbal English to be able to deliver training to NZQA standards to students
  • The ability to work in a supported autonomous role with early starts and late finishes at times
  • Some work-related travel including overnight stays
  • A current clean Full New Zealand Driver Licence
  • Ability to meet a Police security check
  • A passion for people and preventative health care
  • Strong computer literacy in basic Microsoft systems and experience in health applications would be beneficial
