About the role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding health professional to join us in the role of Occupational Health Technician and begin or continue your career in occupational health. In this supported but autonomous role, you will be delivering first aid training courses and health screening services across the Bay of Plenty region, and occasionally beyond. We are open to the location in Bay of Plenty, but our office is based in Tauranga - much of the work however is undertaken on client sites.
You will be working a guaranteed minimum 80 hours per fortnight generally Monday to Friday however the odd Saturday may be required. Time and half is paid after 80 hours worked per fortnight.
You don't necessarily have to have occupational health experience as we provide paid comprehensive training, but you must have a health-related degree e.g. Health Science, Paramedicine, Sports Science. We are open to new graduates.

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver first aid training courses in a group setting
- Deliver occupational health screening services (pre-employment, annual checks, drug and alcohol testing)
- Ensure compliance with external and internal processes
- Data entry - must be tech savvy
- Travel across the region to worksites (sometimes further), with the occasional night away
The successful candidate will have the following:
- The right to work in New Zealand – no visa sponsorship available
- A current New Zealand Driver's Licence
- A tertiary health or sport and exercise-related qualification
- A passion for people and preventative health care
- The ability to deliver health education in a manner that is engaging and interactive
- The ability to work at a fast pace and keep to schedule
- Strong tech savviness as we are highly reliant on technology
- Able to do early starts and late finishes at times, stay overnight if required and work the odd Saturday
