LifeCare is a leading organisation dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency, improving client experience, and driving innovation through technology. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join our senior leadership team as our Head of Technology.

About the Role: 

As our Head of Technology, you will be responsible for developing and executing our overall technology strategy and most importantly you will provide leadership and coaching to our talented technology team. You will oversee all aspects of our technology infrastructure, systems, data management, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. Your role will ensure that our technology aligns with business goals, enhances operational efficiency, and drives innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Leadership: Provide effective leadership and coaching to the technology team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that supports our business objectives and growth plans.
  • Technology Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our technology infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Innovation Management: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by identifying and implementing new technologies and processes.
  • Data Management: Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
  • Cybersecurity: Design and implement a robust cybersecurity strategy to protect client data and other sensitive information.
  • Product Management: Oversee the lifecycle of key products and lead new product development from ideation to launch.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate technology strategy and performance to the key stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximising return on investment.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2) is ideal.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a technology leadership role, preferably in a multi-site and/or healthcare or education environment.
  • Strong project and product management expertise, with experience in agile methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of technology systems, digital platforms, and technology trends.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage teams in an environment of change and digital maturity.
