PCM Group, a premier industrial services provider specializing in the mining, oil, gas, infrastructure, and marine sectors, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator or Estimating Manager to lead our team. This role is crucial in overseeing the estimation processes for industrial projects, including abrasive blasting, UHP blasting, and protective coating services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring all estimates, quotations, and tender submissions are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client expectations.

- Develop and coordinate bids, ensuring tenders and proposals are submitted on time, within budget, and in compliance with company policies.

- Conduct comprehensive site visits to determine scopes of work and manage the process from proposal development to contract award.

- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies to ensure project viability.

- Engage in negotiations with vendors, subcontractors, and partners to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.

- Maintain compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Customer Acts, Rules, and Regulations, including OHS and Environmental Legislation.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring excellent client management throughout the tender process.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or related field. Equivalent experience considered.

- Minimum of 10 years' experience in estimating or bid management, preferably in surface preparation and coating applications within the industrial services sector.

- Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.

- Extensive knowledge of contracts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Proven track record of delivering successful and profitable tenders in complex industrial environments.

 

Skills:

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools, with extensive experience in tender packages and evaluation procedures.

- Ability to work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines, and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Demonstrated leadership and commercial acumen, with a commitment to innovation and excellence.

 

Additional Requirements:

- Current Driver’s License and White Card.

- Willingness to travel extensively to operational and client sites.
