PCM GROUP is a family-owned Industrial Services Provider Specialising in Mining, Oil, Gas, Infrastructure and Marine Sectors. Delivering safe industrial maintenance solutions to Australian industries through the provision of Abrasive Blasting, UHP Water Jetting, Protective Coating Services & Access Solutions.

Due to our continued growth, we're currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Karratha based site team in a FIFO capacity from Perth.

The overall objective for this integral role is to provide scheduling, costings, quality reports, planning, tracking of project deliverables, and high-level advice to the Project Manager and Operations Manager.  

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, schedule, and monitor engineering projects.
  • Provide expertise to the project to ensure compliance with codes, practices, and specifications.
  • Liaise with clients and represent their needs on site.
  • Conduct quality control and report project status.
  • Review project schedules and costs.
  • Coordinate inspections for quality assurance.
  • Control labour, material, and equipment expenses.
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work site.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and utilities.
  • Facilitate project meetings with clients.
  • Assist with quotations and tender submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • White Card and a valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as a Project Engineer with experience in all aspects of Civil, Marine including overseeing and supervising blasting and coating projects in Construction, Mining, Oil & Gas, Defence, or Engineering Industry
  • Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of industry construction.
  • Use of safe work procedures including SWMS, JSA & ITP
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Co-ordination of project resources.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be self-motivated and able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
