About the position 

Due to our continued growth and focus on Safety we're currently seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team.

The overall objective for this integral role is to manage the coordination and facilitation of HSE activities across all work sites to meet HSE requirements and provide leadership.

 Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manages, directs, coordinates, and implements HSE initiatives and actively lead and participate in the resolution of issues relating to HSE performance.
  • Providing expertise to the project to ensure compliance with relevant HSE laws, regulations, company and client standards and guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with the companies Safety Management System
  • Ensure the delivery / application of fundamental HSE processes
  • Manage site safety inspections and reporting
  • Manage incident investigations and risk assessments including coaching and facilitating
  • Manage continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leading and mentoring other members of the PCM team; providing timely guidance and feedback to help work groups improve their performance results
  • Manage and provide advice with implementation of legislated health and safety requirements.
  • Required to manage, collate and update documentation and Policies for Auditing purposes. 

 Skills and Qualifications 

  • A tertiary qualification in HSE Cert IV with minimum 5 years ( Diploma HSE preferred )
  • White Card
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Experience managing Workers Compensation and Injury Management
  • Internal auditing experience
  • A strong understanding of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Computer and Microsoft Suite skills
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be self-motivated and able to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in the Construction/Oil & Gas industry is desired
