ABOUT LASERBOND
Since its establishment in 1992 (initially as HVOF Australia Pty Ltd), LaserBond has pioneered the research, development and implementation of advanced surface engineering techniques to dramatically reduce the wear rates, maintenance and operating costs of production vital components of industrial customers. Laserbond is Australian owned, with operations across four (4) states.
THERMAL SPRAYING
Thermal Spraying processes produce high-performance surfaces with absolutely no risk of distortion or metallurgical changes to the component. LaserBond has a range of coating processes to apply cost-effective metallic or non-metallic based coatings onto (usually) metallic substrates.
In these processes the coating material is introduced to an extreme heat source in the form or wire or powder. The molten material is transferred to the component at very high velocity where it mechanically bonds to the substrate. Our semi-automated spray booths are designed for both high volume production and short-run projects.
THE ROLE
LaserBond has a vacancy for a Full-Time Operator for its Altona Thermal Spray section. This position would suit someone with Metals Industry experience or a Trades Assistant/Machine Operator background. As this is a specialised industry, full training will be provided, covering all aspects of the Thermal Spray process. You will be provided with the opportunity to learn about different applications, robot programming, engineering drawings and much more.
You will be part of a growing and enthusiastic Victoria based team. A competitive pay rate is offered and overtime is available.
