We’re looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our high-performing Finance & Administration team. This is a key role where your insights will directly influence strategic decisions and business performance across the organisation.

About the Role

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in helping drive growth and operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, delivering clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making. This is not a transactional accounting or IT support role-it is a commercially focused position that transforms data into action. It is a future-focused position for someone with an accounting background who thrives on data-driven decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities

•  Work closely with key stakeholders to create or improve financial and operational processes and practices to support the strategic goals of the business. 

•  Extract, understand and manipulate financial and operational data from various sources, converting this data into insights and collaborating with key stakeholders to support the strategic and operational success of the business. 

•  Maintain, enhance clear, visual dashboards and reports across all business units Analyse data to identify trends and proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to inform decisions.

•  Ensure the integrity of financial data used for reporting and month-end processes by working closely with the transactional finance team.  

•  Lead or support automation and process improvement initiatives across reporting and analysis using tools like SQL, Excel and Power BI (not focused on IT system administration)

•  Lead the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans

•  Partner with operational and sales teams to assess pricing strategies, margin performance, and cost optimisation

•  Support the preparation of half-yearly and annual reports and the investor briefings process. 

About You

•  A commercially savvy finance professional who is curious, analytical, detailed oriented, insightful and influential.  

•  Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence across the business, leading financial and operational process improvements and consistency. 

•  Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)

•  Minimum of 5 years in a commercial finance analysis role, manufacturing/industrials preferable. 

•  Proficient in financial systems and automation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)

•  Strong financial modelling and scenario analysis skills

•  A collaborative mindset, high integrity, and strong commercial acumen
