About your role
In this newly created role, you will be responsible of leading and managing the organisation’s commercial activities by overseeing contracts, negotiating business agreements, driving growth across operational units, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
About what you’ll do
· Oversee the drafting, execution, and administration of commercial contracts.
· Ensure contract compliance, risk management, and timely renewals or variations.
· Maintain a central register of all commercial agreements and monitor key milestones.
· Lead negotiation of commercial terms and conditions with clients, partners, and suppliers.
· Ensure agreements align with corporate strategy, legal requirements, and risk appetite.
· Identify and pursue growth opportunities across LDC’s operational business units (e.g., property, labour hire and cultural services).
· Lead and support pricing strategies, market positioning, and client engagement.
· Coordinate high-quality, competitive tender submissions and expressions of interest.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including government, industry, and – where appropriate - community.
· Represent LDC at industry events, forums, and meetings to promote the organisation’s capabilities and values.
· Contribute to the development and execution of LDC’s commercial strategy.
· Ensure all commercial activities meet legal, regulatory, and internal governance standards
About You / What you’ll bring
· Demonstrated success in commercial contract management, including drafting, negotiation, and compliance oversight.
· Experience in a B2B environment or working on competitive tenders, RFPs, or major proposals.
· Background in or strong understanding of industries that supply or utilise labour hire, including but not limited to, logistics, civil construction, contracting, fabrication, or site services.
· Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance, Law or related discipline is preferred but not essential
· Previous experience with CRM & Contract Management Systems desirable
· Prior experience in a Business Development Manager or commercially focused client-facing role highly regarded
