About your role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand to support the delivery of Property Maintenance services across the Greater Darwin Region.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, supervising field teams, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting the efficient delivery of services across multiple worksites. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines team supervision, operational planning, client liaison and continuous improvement.
About what you'll do
- Assist with planning, scheduling and coordinating daily works and staff rosters
- Supervise, support and mentor operational teams to deliver quality outcomes
- Conduct toolbox talks, pre-start meetings and ensure safety requirements are met
- Coordinate the maintenance, servicing and repair of machinery, tools, plant and equipment
- Monitor site performance and undertake regular site visits to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Act as a key contact for clients and customers regarding service delivery and operational matters
- Assist with timesheets, job documentation, reporting and administrative requirements
- Support the achievement of operational KPIs and business objectives
- Work alongside field teams when required during peak workloads or staff shortages
About you / What you'll bring
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar supervisory role and/or relevant qualifications in Horticulture or Irrigation
- Ability to work independently and within a diverse team environment
- Willingness to travel to worksites throughout the Greater Darwin Region
- Current MR Licence (or higher)
- White Card, OCHRE Card and ability to pass a Fit For Work Assessment are essential
- Current National Police Clearance
- Previous experience using ServiceM8, Word and Excel are highly regarded
- Experience maintaining operational records, schedules and reporting systems is preferred
