Sales Account Manager – L’affare

Territory: Auckland & Northland

Based at Atomic Coffee Roasters, Kingsland

Full-time | Company vehicle + wellbeing leave + coffee + incentive structure

About us:

We’re L’affare. The coffee business - ever since 1990. We were born out of a love for espresso in Wellington at our café and HQ. 35 years later, we’re still there on College Street. Our people make us who we are today. We’re a mixed bunch of creative, industrious, adventurous humans, all with a great love for serving NZ the freshest and tastiest coffee possible.

Now, we’re looking for a Sales Account Manager to represent L’affare across Auckland and Northland. Based at our Atomic Coffee Roasters site in Kingsland (as we are part of the UCC Coffee group), you’ll join one other Auckland-based L’affare Account Manager and connect regularly with your leader and our Wellington sales team too.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts across Auckland and Northland (split of existing and new business)
  • Prospect, pitch, and convert new accounts while growing existing customer sales
  • Provide exceptional relationship management with a focus on customer retention
  • Deliver in-house coffee training, quality control guidance, and be your customers’ go-to coffee specialist
  • Spend approx. 3 days every 4 weeks in Northland, with the rest of your time based in Auckland
  • Collaborate with our sales, technical and brand teams to support Laffare’s position in market

What you’ll bring:

  • 2+ years of sales experience, ideally in hospo or similar customer-focused industries
  • Ability to work autonomously and sales capability - to prospect, negotiate, close, and follow up
  • Strong interpersonal and commercial skills - balancing brand, customer and business outcomes
  • Confidence training others in product and process (we’ll help build your coffee knowledge if needed)
  • A clean, full driver’s licence and a willingness to be hands-on - whether it’s tech support or event setup

This is a permanent full-time opportunity with some travel required. In return L’affare offers fresh coffee on tap, beans to take home, 5 days of wellbeing leave and the opportunity to be involved in coffee events too.
