About the Role

Our Community Care Workers provide a range of high quality services aimed providing support and assistance to people living in their own homes in their day-to-day living, ensuring that they have maximum opportunity for developing valued and valuing lifestyles. They will provide opportunities for choice, self-advocacy and participation in matters relating to the home as well as facilitating access to community services and facilities. To support client with all aspects of everyday living – personal care, washing, cleaning, laundry, preparing and cooking meals and shopping.

 About You

  •  Certificate III or IV in Individual Support/Disability or equivalent.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Experience working with people with disability of all ages.
  • Ability to perform all tasks safely, autonomously and unsupervised with vulnerable persons.
  • Ability to actively listen and to communicate sensitively and effectively with people with disability.
  • Current First Aid (Level II)
  • Current Drivers Licence & Comprehensive Car Insurance 
  • Be able to demonstrate KDHS values of empathy, wellbeing and community.
  • Computer skills
