Health Information Service Assistant

Part-time - 3 days per week on site

About the Role

We are seeking an Administrative staff member to work up to 0.6 EFT within our Health Information Service team. The days may be flexible and there will be possibility of extra EFT for leave cover. The position includes responding to external and internal enquiries about patient/client information, enter UCC data, assist in the processing of FOI requests, data reporting, filing of correspondence, filing of Medical Records, and undertake a vast number of administrative duties in the Health Information Service department. 

About You

  • Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on person centered care.
  • Physical ability to undertake manual handling duties. 
  • Ability to follow routine daily work schedules with limited supervision and working knowledge of OH&S responsibilities. 
  • Demonstrated experience in data base management and Microsoft office skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proven commitment to quality Improvement & customer service 
  • Proven ability to function as a team member, while working with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy of outputs. 

Other Position Requirements

  • Satisfactory Police Check upon commencement.
  • Provide proof of current flu vaccination and at least three doses of the COVID vaccination prior to commencing employment.
