Overview

Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) is a medium-sized rural health service that delivers a range of programs and services including acute, subacute, residential aged care and allied and primary health care services. KDHS has three campuses located in the townships of Kyabram, Stanhope and Tongala.

About the Role

The Payroll Officer is responsible for understanding and being able to run a full payroll cycle for the current contracted provider service. This includes maintaining accuracy of our time and attendance system, updating our payroll system as required, contract variations and new employees. They will also be able to attend to queries, make adjustments, check for accuracy and run both fortnightly and end of month reports.

About You

  • Ability to work in a team environment with a focus on person centred care.
  • Physical ability to undertake manual handling duties.
  • Ability to follow routine daily work schedules with limited supervision and working knowledge of OH&S responsibilities.
  • Ability to work within deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Windows Programs, including E-mail and Internet.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict Information Privacy (Confidentiality)
  • Ability to work autonomously and problem solve.
  •  Demonstrated accuracy with data entry and record keeping.
  • Must be able to work the days allocated in accordance with the needs of the payroll process and provide backfill as and when required.
