Overview

Kyabram District Health Service (KDHS) is a medium-sized rural health service that delivers a range of programs and services including acute, subacute, residential aged care and allied and primary health care services.  About the Role

The role of the Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) is intended to provide direct clinical support, instruction and supervision for all Nursing students on placement, support the transition of new graduates and staff – including work experience - to the clinical environment, and support clinical learning in a practical and applied way. This may include the development of innovative practices to improve the quality of health care delivery, assisting colleagues with the planning, implementing and evaluating care and practices as required, and the development and delivery of competency based education programs.

About You

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical nursing skills and knowledge in acute and aged care context, with a commitment to the principles of quality management and evidence based practice in nursing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the processes, methodologies used, and the challenges faced in undertaking education within a health care setting
  • Possess highly developed interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to manage complex processes and multiple projects, demonstrating advanced work organisation and co-ordination
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office
  • Current practice in a clinical setting providing direct patient care.
  •  Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate nursing experience
