About the Role

The Nurse Manager leads and manages Ambulatory Services at Kyabram District Health Services, assuming responsibility for the standard of clinical care delivered and operational performance across Oncology Medical Day Unit, and Renal Dialysis Unit. The role also provides clinical oversite of KDHS Outpatients Clinics.


 About You

  • Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
  • Relevant clinical skills and knowledge of contemporary nursing practice at a level consistent with the responsibilities of the role, in the clinical area(s) being managed.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of contemporary management practice, including human resource management, financial management (including budget planning, monitoring and control), relevant funding streams and the ability to initiate, lead and manage strategic change in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people at all levels of the organisation, including regional partnerships.
  • A strong consumer focus with the ability to deliver services that meet consumer needs.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience of continuous quality improvement process, clinical governance requirements and detailed understanding of care requirements set out by Australian Commission on Quality and Safety in Healthcare (ACQSHC)
  • Demonstrated ability in report writing and analysis of data to support service delivery
  • A proven ability to translate our values into organisational culture
  • Be an exemplary professional role model with commitment to ongoing professional development
