About the Role

The Quality, Education and Risk Manager (QERM) is a strategic leadership role that works collaboratively with the organisations Executive team, Managers and Staff to promote a culture that facilitates the delivery of best care through the organisational wide development, monitoring and evaluation of the Quality, Risk, Consumer Experience and Education Frameworks and policies.

With a focus on quality systems, consumer experience and organisational risk, this role will work with and support managers and health professionals to ensure effective quality governance systems are in place. To ensure integrated organisational risk management, the role will work closely with the Executive team to ensure there is a broad-based risk management system that integrates organisational, clinical, and corporate & community risk. This position is central in supporting and maintaining consumer engagement and their experience at all levels of KDHS.

About You

  • Relevant qualification at Degree/Diploma level in Clinical, Risk Management, Education, Business management, Health Administration or similar
  •  Experience in health sector environments with an understanding of governance and accreditation systems and standards
  • Demonstrated ability to translate organisational strategy into meaningful long term plans and objectives for own areas of responsibility as well as coaching / mentoring others
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including:

o  High level communication and influencing skills,

o  Systems thinker who is an innovative and strategic problem solver,

o  High level analytics and ability to associate different information being results and outcome driven and

o  Fostering productive and professional working relationships internally and externally

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and support staff to question, challenge and innovate
  • Advanced report writing and ICT skills, including experience with submission writing and project management.
  • Contemporary quality and clinical risk management knowledge with preference given to applicants with experience in and contemporary knowledge of health, aged care and community care accreditation processes
  • Demonstrated ability to network, develop and nurture partnerships.
  •  Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to maximise productive working relationships and effective change.
  •  The ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work as part of a cohesive team
